ParkStage is here and it is, well, sublime.
New Jersey’s latest large-scale music venue, the open-air Freehold destination held its grand opening on Friday, June 19 with a sold-out show headlined by reggae-rock icons Sublime.
Part of the statewide North to Shore festival, Sublime’s Monmouth County engagement – bolstered by supporting sets from Codefendants, Pepper and The Movement – launched an opening weekend that also included Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra on Saturday and the jam-rock extravaganza of Umprey’s McGee, moe., Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Lotus on Sunday. The ParkStage summer concert series is the result of a collaboration between Monmouth County Tourism and the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank.
